| Beddgelert Portmeirion |
Day trip from £95. (admission prices to attractions extra)
Portmeirion , a beautiful Italianate village set on a peninsula on the North Wales coast. Designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and opened to the public in 1926 it enchants everyone who visits. Also the location for the cult TV series from the 1960’s ‘The Prisoner’ starring Patrick Mc Goohan. Craft shops, a marvellous restaurant and beautiful gardens make this a place to remember. En route to Portmeirion we will call at the wonderful welsh village of Beddgelert, home to the legend of Gelert the hound and his owner, Llewelyn The Great, however all is not quite as seems with this story!....... |
